Teenage Dream Room
This blog has been inspired by a girls desire to change her bedroom from a young girl into a teenager. I was contacted by a previous client letting me know that her daughter’s birthday was around the corner and she had asked what she wanted for her birthday, and she responded “I want my room designed by Studio 9.” Of course I was ecstatic to hear the news! Tina wanted a fashion inspired sleek modern style bedroom that can transition into older teen years and early adulthood.
Tina had great ideas of what she wanted her room to look and together we were able to create this modern yet subtle fashionable bedroom. I used a neutral color palette with pops of different shades of pink, I installed white furniture to help create an open stylish room. Using the same color scheme, I installed a custom wall mural as an accent feature wall defining her makeup area. Tina wanted to keep her desk organized therefore we decided to mount gold and silver storage bins above the desk to keep the desk cleared. In efforts to help the clients stay on budget, we were able to purchase accessories from Ikea, Lamps Plus, Home Goods, West Elm, and Target.
Accessories are the small details that truly make a difference in the final design. In order to make an impact in this bedroom, I changed the hardware on the nightstands and reupholstered the desk chair from an unflattering brown fabric to this fabulous pink mohair fabric which is very chic!
As always, I am grateful for the opportunities to put a smile on clients faces when they see the final outcome! Thank you to those previous clients that continue to trust Studio 9 and myself with your dreams and allow us to make them come true. I am inspired by each client and hopefully you are inspired enough to give your family or a friend the gift of hiring Studio 9 to make their design dreams come true!
