Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! This day commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over France during the Franco-Mexican War. Cinco de Mayo is a small holiday in Mexico but in the United States it has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations. Cinco de Mayo traditions include parades, mariachi music performances and street festivals in cities and towns across Mexico and the United States.
Family and friends celebrate with Margaritas, guacamole and chips. We also celebrate with tequila and tacos! I’m sharing a few pictures with you that I found soothing when I saw them on the web. Look how yummy that tequila looks served in those Himalayan salt shot glasses. I’m also sharing some ideas to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Enjoy!
